We have now subscribed to BetterConsult, a secure pre-consultation questionnaire that captures a patient’s reason for appointment and relevant clinical information, providing you with a summary of the  information to copy for your consultation

BetterConsult is completely secure and private. The output is only accessible to the patient's doctor. 

How to view BetterConsult patient notes

BetterConsult is now installed and linked to Best Practice. Shortly, patients that book a new appointment will receive an SMS from BetterConsult, prompting them to complete the pre-consultation questionnaire. The patient notes will be available when you open the patient record around the time of the appointment.

BetterConsult Doctor App in 4 simple steps

1. Open the patient record around the time of the scheduled appointment. If your patient has completed BetterConsult you will see a notification in the bottom right hand of your screen. Click on the notification to access the BetterConsult notes for the patient.
   
   
2. Review the notes and click the “Copy notes” button, or move your mouse over a specific section and click “Copy section”. Close the BetterConsult App by clicking the “X” button (top right).
   
   
3. Paste the BetterConsult notes into the patient record by clicking Control-V or using the right mouse button and clicking “Paste”. You can make edits to the notes based on your review with the patient.
   
   
4. To access BetterConsult during the consultation, simply click on the BetterConsult icon in your Taskbar.
